Components of a Darting Tube
- Barrel (Tube Body) – A hollow cylinder that contains the liquid medication.
- Plunger or Piston – A small mechanism inside the tube that pushes the medication out upon impact.
- Valve System – Some darting tubes have one-way valves to prevent leakage before impact.
- Pressurization System – The darting tube is often pre-pressurized using:

- Explosive charge (for quick injection)
- Spring-loaded mechanisms (for mechanical activation)
- Needle Attachment – The darting tube is connected to a hypodermic needle that injects the medication into the muscle tissue.
